I’ve always had trouble seeing the big picture, focusing on every tiny emotion I felt within myself. Writing these feelings down & listening to my subconscious is what helps me understand things from the outside looking in. This collection of songs has taught me a lot about myself, and each song is a snapshot, a moment in time that I had to work through first emotionally, then logically. Sometimes I discover things that I don’t necessarily love about myself, weaknesses & flaws, vices I continue to battle though I’ve been down this road before. Singing these songs is reminder of how far I’ve come & pushes me to stay strong. I’ve also learned that I’m a passionate being that loves hard, and feels deeply, & when love is lost, it’s hard for me to let go. Levee is a place I go to when I need to let go. In Levee’s songs, I celebrate love, loss, and longing. I hope you can too.
